Detailing services and rough prices
Wash
Fresh-water wash of hull, deck and hardware to get salt off before it dries into the finish. The most common job for boats on Palm Coast's saltwater canals.
Wax and polish
A protective layer against Florida UV. Many owners here do it two or three times a year.
Oxidation removal
Chalky, faded gelcoat gets compounded and polished back to a shine, then sealed. Usually the biggest job on an older boat.
Interior, vinyl and teak
Cleaning and UV-protecting seats and cushions, mildew treatment, and teak cleaning and oiling.
Ceramic coating
A harder, longer-lasting protective layer than wax. Costs more up front and needs less upkeep.
Maintenance plans
A wash every week or two at your dock. Easiest way to keep a boat that lives in salt water looking new.
| Service | Typical price range | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Wash | $3–6 per foot | Less on a regular plan |
| Wash and wax | $12–25 per foot | Depends on finish condition |
| Oxidation removal + wax | $20–40 per foot | Heavier oxidation costs more |
| Ceramic coating | $40–100+ per foot | Product and prep vary widely |
Rough ranges only, as a starting point. Your detailer gives the real price after seeing the boat.
Why Palm Coast boats need more care
Many Palm Coast boats live in salt water year-round, tied up in the saltwater canals or on the Intracoastal Waterway. Salt spray dries on the gelcoat, and the Florida sun bakes it in. That's what turns a shiny hull chalky in a single season.
Regular washing slows that down, and wax or a ceramic coating protects the finish between washes. A detailer who works the canals also knows how to reach a boat on a lift or at a private dock.

Questions
Are you a boat detailing company?
No. We're a local referral service. We pass your request to independent detailers who work in the area. They do the work and set their own prices.
Does this cost me anything?
No. It's free for boat owners, and you're not obliged to book.
Do I need to be there when they detail the boat?
Usually not, as long as the detailer can reach the boat and has water access. Agree on that with them directly.
Should I check the detailer's insurance?
Yes. Ask any detailer for proof of liability insurance before they work on your boat, especially at a marina.
How often should a boat be detailed in Florida?
Rinse after every saltwater trip, wash every week or two if the boat sits in the water, and wax two or three times a year. Your detailer can suggest a schedule for your boat.
